The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) located at 5500 Stevens Avenue, South in Minneapolis, MN (55419) is presently the only non-profit museum in North America dedicated solely to the preservation and presentation of educational exhibitions and related events pertaining to Russian art and artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Our museum maintains a continuous program of exhibitions that includes all forms of Russian visual art at our three-floor exhibition facility located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Exhibitions at TMORA are generally rotated on a 90 to 120 day schedule. Please refer to the Current Events and Future Events and Schedules pages of this web site for the most recent information regarding specific exhibition activities.
TMORA is conveniently located at the intersection of I-35W at the Diamond Lake Road exit approximately 10 minutes from either downtown Minneapolis or the Twin Cities International airport. The Museum of Russian Art sponsors seminars, lectures and related events designed to supplement the regular scheduled art exhibitions. Authorities in various fields of Russian and Soviet art are invited to share their knowledge and perspectives with our museum visitors. The seminar events are open to the public and the schedule of these activities is also included in the Future Events and Schedules page of the site. Please note that seating availability for these supplemental events is limited and preferential notification and reservation opportunities are extended to members of the TMORA Museum Society. Please call the museum in advance to confirm availability for all seminar and lecture events.
TMORA exhibitions frequently involve the participation of one or more Russian museums as well as the cooperation of American museums, private collectors and other institutions of Russian culture. Every effort is made to fulfill the event timetables incorporated in the Future Events and Schedules page, however the logistics and procedures required by international law and policy occasionally create unanticipated difficulties. The TMORA web site is updated regularly and any significant changes to the published schedule of events are posted on the Future Events and Schedules page as quickly as possible. We urge out-of-town visitors to review the web site or to call the museum before making special travel commitments to avoid disappointment.
