From August 4 – October 31, Speaking of Home, an installation project by photographer and public artist Nancy Ann Coyne, will cover the glass windows of the IDS Center / Macy’s Skyway on Nicollet Avenue. Portraits of more than 20 immigrants and new Minnesotans will adorn the popular skyway, raising questions and starting dialogue about the subject of home, the struggles of relocation and the challenges new Minnesotans face. Also inside the skyway Coyne features the word for home in each of the sitter’s native languages, expanding upon Minnesota's increasingly complex and diverse population.
